A Special Thanks

Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to this year’s Shaver Lake Brewfest. We’d also like to recognize the event’s coordinator Aimee Brockway,  and Toby Wait – president of the town’s Lion Club. It was a great opportunity to get up to the mountains and support not only local brewers, but several locally owned companies here in the Central Valley. There were many benefits to attending this event, as the proceeds went to Big Creek Elementary and The Shaver Lake Lion’s Club. Many of the vendors also met directly with first-time customers as they sampled their product in a fun, energized environment.

Setup & Start

A few of our team members arrived early to set up our Solar Negotiators booth and introduce ourselves to members of the local community. The event took place in Shaver’s community center ballpark, a small grassy area just off the road near the main street in town. It was a more intimate gathering than events of this kind closer to Fresno. As it was a “tasting”, sample cups were distributed upon ticket purchase. A majority of the brewers insisted on giving modest portions (around ⅛ of a glass) as the event took off around 12:30 pm. However, as the day progressed things became a bit more lax, and the younger crowd began to arrive.

The brewfest offered several options for attendees in terms of entertainment. There was a horseshoe toss that began at 1:30 pm, a live band- L-Train, a raffle with an assortment of Watersport prizes, and best of all a Solar Negotiator’s Prize Wheel. Representing our company at our booth made us feel proud as people approached, eagerly awaiting answers about solar and who we are. Our CEO and President both attended the event, and were glad to man the booth in hopes that we would spark interested of nearby passers. Dozens of people excitedly asked to spin our prize wheel, winning Solar Negotiators souvenirs such as solar panel stress balls, water bottles, coffee thermos and even free cleanings with our Solar Maintenance Pros team. Unfortunately our prizes weren’t as elaborate as our fellow local companies, Shaver Lake Watersports and Sierra Marina. They offered a number of gifts in the raffle, such as a house boat, jet-ski and water jet-pack rentals.
Overall, it was a fun day and great exposure for all the small companies that chose to attend and inform people about their business. We’d like to thank all of our past customers that responded to our posts and emails regarding this event, and their support of our community.
