The Solar Negotiators Team
Chris Moran was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley and began his career in the solar industry over 10 years ago. Working with established local electrical contractors and industry leading manufacturers, he aimed to educate valley residents on the benefits of PV solar systems. In 2009, Chris founded a small company in his garage known as Moran Power, an honest business focused on helping consumers get the facts on solar systems in California. That small company is now Solar Negotiators Inc., a well known turnkey solution for affordable solar in the valley. “I would like to thank our clients, my family and our team here at Solar Negotiators for the support they have shown for this company and its vision.” In 2013, he founded Solar Maintenance Pros, a panel cleaning service company. Three years later, the business obtained their contractor license in order to expand its service offerings beyond just panel cleaning. Their crew began to install, expand, upgrade, repair, monitor, and provide any and all services necessary to customers after their original installation. Today, Solar Maintenance Pros is the premier provider for solar service in California, managing over 5,000 solar customer’s systems and adding more each month. Moving forward, he hopes to continue to grow the company’s base of customers and create new and innovative ways to serve them. A Bullard High School and College Valedictorian, Chris has aimed to demonstrate professionalism and competence on all levels of both businesses. The main goal for both his companies is to provide the best solar service to valley residents, working together to do so while giving customers more “complete” solar experience. He is also a proud veteran, having served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps. Deployed to serve a tour in Iraq in 2007, he drive large fuel trucks at forward refueling points and in convoy. Chris Moran has entrepreneurial roots going back three generations on both sides of his family. Chris’ grandparents bought and operated the Madera radio station in the Mid 1960’s, and his grandfather was the voice of the town through the 1980’s. His father was a dentist with a private practice in Madera for over 30 years. Chris Moran is also a third generation shareholder at Sebastian Enterprises incorporated. A business founded in 1946, as Kerman Telephone Company. “I’m so grateful to have grown up in such a solid local company. Attending board meetings as a teenager, I was able to listen to business executives discuss and overcome real corporate challenges. Many of my best leadership principles I learned from those experiences.” Alongside running his successful local business, Chris currently serves on the board of directors for Sebastian Enterprises Inc., Kerman Telephone Inc., and Kertel Communications Inc.,. As well as serving as the President of the Board of Directors for Fresno Metro Ministry, a non-profit organization operating in Fresno since 1972. Chris also serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Better Blackstone Community Development Corporation which focuses on revitalizing the Blackstone corridor of Fresno. He was recently selected to service on the Energize Fresno Technical Advisory Committee. A project team which helps deliver significant resource savings and attract more investment into the Fresno community.
Leroy currently serves as President of Solar Negotiators and Solar Maintenance Pros. He is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board and other management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Leroy brings 15 years of strategic planning, sales, and operations management experience to the Solar Negotiators team. Prior to joining the company, Leroy spent ten years as President of Tempest Technology Corporation, the leading manufacturer of ventilation tools for firefighting and industrial applications. Leroy holds an MBA from the Craig School of Business at CSU Fresno (2012) and a bachelor's degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.
Cindy Michael is the Vice President and is responsible for overseeing all functions of the business. A major part involves leading and directing employees. She delegates administrative tasks, such as accounting, paperwork and payroll, while giving her the freedom to deal with other issues. Cindy grew up in Mariposa and still returns frequently to visit family. After spending twenty years living on the Central Coast, she recently relocated to the Fresno area to be near her grandchildren. She has a long history in administrative and office management positions including over eight years working in the Yosemite Valley. She brings over 15 years of experience to the team, working within the renewable energy industry in office and project management roles. One of her favorite aspects of working with solar is helping people become energy independent.
Mike Williams serves as our Enterprise Executive Director, working directly with the Vice President, Chief Executive Officer and Company President regarding sales numbers. He ensures Solar Negotiators' weekly policies are carried out. Mike also helps field troubled current and past clients regarding production and true up issues. He ensures the salesmen are attentive to questions from clients, Project Managers, and any other issues that need their direct attention. Mike Grew up in Fresno, attending Clovis West High School. He studied agri-business and played football at Cal Poly San Luis Opispo and studied psychology at CSU Fresno. Mike currently lives in Fresno with his wife, son, and daughter. He began his account management career at Xerox in sales and has developed a passion for account management and client care. Mike began his career in the solar industry in 2013, finding great satisfaction in helping his clients understand and realize the benefits of adding solar to their home or business.
As Senior Director of Finance & Accounting, Kristi acts as the company's controller and chief accounting officer and heads the accounting department. The controller is responsible for the company's financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, and various special analyses. Kristi was born and raised in Clovis, Ca. attending Clovis High School. Kristi has been in the customer service industry for 26 years in various forms. She began her accounting and finance career 2 ½ years ago, and uses her experience to help serve Solar Negotiators and their clients. She is married and has 5 children; their oldest currently in the US Navy and raising the other 4 at home. Kristi and her family love spending time together, especially during the summer months boating and skiing.
Ren has been with the company since late 2015. She served as a Combat Medic in the CA Army National Guard for 5 years. She currently runs and over sees the administrative side of Solar Maintenance Pros to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible.
As Director of Marketing & Media, Meghan is responsible for the production, management and analysis of all marketing efforts made on behalf of the business. This entails implementing tactical advertisement of the business through media buys. Meghan also produces/designs all material that supports the sales efforts of her team. This includes the company website, blog articles, printed sales materials, and promotional items for the business to gain an advantage over competitors. Meghan is originally from Murphys, CA. She moved to Fresno in 2011 to study for her degree and play college sports. With a long history of creative writing and background knowledge in design, she decided to focus her attention on marketing, and graduated from CSU Fresno with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin. She first discovered her passion for marketing in college, helping local businesses gain consumer interest through branding opportunities and advertising after years working on volunteer projects around the local community.
The Director of Sales Operations analyzes sales data, develops and standardizes our product, and originates systems and platforms to help the sales team scale its performance.
The Director of Project Management is not only responsible for the delivering and execution of her own project’s in a given time frame, but also for the projects being managed by her team of Project Managers. The Director of Project Management ensures that all parties are kept informed regarding the status of the project from the date of sale, until the date that Permission To Operate is issued. It is her job to provide the client with an enjoyable and professional solar experience. Jackie grew up in Fresno, CA and graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication from CSU Fresno. She is putting her degree to use as a project manager for Solar Negotiators. She enjoys working with our clients and guiding them through all aspects of the solar installation process. In her free time, Jackie conditions her many horses on her ranch at home, and competes in statewide barrel racing competitions year round.
Mike Perez first stepped foot into the solar field about 8 yrs ago. He started off on the commercial side, managing the installation of a large multi-family solar project for Arise Solar in northern California. His interest in solar grew each day and he became very involved in the technical side of solar. Mike developed a knowledge base that extended beyond just installing solar systems. He brings his experience to our team and plans to make a difference in the solar services, operations and maintenance field. Mike currently serves as Director of Field Operations assists management in the service and installation side of the business.
As Design Manager, Zach is responsible for producing plan sets that meet governing codes, are easy for installers to work from, and provide a design that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly productivity for the chosen mounting plane(s). He also provides leadership for the design team and supports the design needs for the sales and installation teams. Zachary grew up in Reedley, CA and moved to Fresno when he married his lovely wife. Zach’s love for design and building lead him to a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. During economic downturn of 2008 Zach found a job in PV Design. Since then he has gained 10 years of PV Design experience and became NABCEP Certified.
As a PV Designer, Andrew’s role is to prepare plan sets that incorporates the needs of three principles. These principles are: adherence to governing codes/standards, the expectations of the customer, and thorough detail and guidance for installers. He works in collaboration with other design team members to provide support and assistants to other departments. Andrew was raised in Fresno, CA, and is working to complete his degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fresno. Since 2016, Andrew has worked in the solar industry designing layouts, completing site surveys, working with local building departments, and designing complete residential PV systems.
Collin serves our team as Field Project Manager, providing active quality assurance throughout the solar project timeline. He interacts with the customer face to face, and coordinates with our project managers here in the office to ensure the project is carried out smoothly. Collin Tally has lived in Fresno since he moved from Seattle, WA with his parents at the young age of four. After graduating from Fresno Christian High School, he served the local community for 4 years as a volunteer firefighter for Fresno County Fire. In 2014, Collin began his solar career as an installer for Solar City. He later joined the field crew of our network partner, Solar Maintenance Pros before making a lateral transition to Solar Negotiators.
Chandler Rowland as the Responsible Managing Employee holds our general contractor’s license. He works directly with the project management department to oversee the field operations of all home upgrades/renovation projects for clients. Chandler Rowland has a Bachelors of Science degree Agricultural Business from California State University, Fresno. After graduating, Chandler worked in for SunWest Fruit Co. for 2 years, gaining experience in sales. He first started his career in the construction industry while attending college at All American Construction, working as a field manager’s assistant. As a restoration company, their team did a lot of remodels so Chandler estimated job cost, handywork, and also handling materials and inventory. After 4 years of experience working alongside industry professionals, Chandler started his own window company, Three C’s Windows, in 2015.
Chloe is our Solar Services Manager and she acts as a liaison between customers and Solar Maintenance Pros to ensure that the lines of communication remain open. Customer service is an integral part of Solar Maintenance Pro's customer value proposition. Chloe ensures that quality and service exceed customer expectation. Chloe Fradue moved to Fresno from San Francisco. She Studied Paralegal Studies at SCCCD and will continue studies at San Joaquin College of Law. She is a sixteen year Customer Service veteran and has represented large Corporations such a Aetna, Verizon, and the Better Business Bureau. Chloe has built a solid foundation for customer relations through her talented advisory services. Chloe specializes in applying her interpersonal skills to maximize the customer experience on the service side of the business.
Kendra currently handles all scheduling and support for our senior field technicians as our Senior Technician Supervisor, as well as assists our monitoring department with troubleshooting client system issues. Kendra was in the Air Force for 5 years as aerospace maintenance on the C17 Globemaster. She will graduate with her Bachelor’s in psychology Spring of 2019 from Fresno State. She also used to be a work study at the veterans hospital in Fresno for 2 years.
Shelly works as an Interconnection Specialist for Solar Negotiators, by supporting our company's project management team with mapping and interconnection. She also works closely with our quality assurance department, scheduling orientations and preparing warranty packets for our clients.
Ryan Douglas is a part of our project management team and he oversees the installation side of Solar Maintenance Pros. Ryan sees the jobs through from site surveys, through permitting and the final install. Before joining our team, he worked the last 8 years with a general contractor in Truckee as an Electrician and a Project Manager.
Brooke has 7 years experience in Customer Service, Data Entry, Administration & Project coordinating for Solar. Her position at Solar Negotiators/Solar Maintenance Pros is Assistant to Project Management. She assists our project management team with projects and assignments to ensure each customers solar experience is unique.
Stacey Crisp is the company's staff accountant. He has been in the accounting industry for the past 20 years, and I has worked within many different industries including hospitality, construction, non-profit, government and real estate. Stacey Crisp was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Montana. He first moved to Clovis in 2005 and have lived there since. Stacey owns his own bookkeeping business and spent the last 6 years working for local CPA firm. He is also currently working toward my bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA license.
Robyn works alongside our Director of Finance & Accounting to prepare and examine financial records. She helps to ensure that company financial records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time. She performs overviews of the financial operations of a business in order to help it run efficiently. Robyn was raised in Arizona until the age of 14, then returned back to California to raise her family in the Central Valley. She is a loving mother of three, two grown and one daughter in High School. She is very involved in church and her daughter’s horse riding. At the early age of 16, she began her career in Accounting/Office Management working for her father’s business. She eventually became the owner of her own successful business for many years. In 2005 she moved to the Central Valley from Southern California and expanded her accounting knowledge into Construction Accounting. She is very excited to be a part of something that not only helps our environment, but saves our clients money and gives them freedom from the electric companies. Robyn Coleman has a history in the solar industry, serving clients as project manager for over 4 years. As a previous business owner in the valley, she recognizes the value in providing extraordinary customer service to everyone of our clients.
Jodie works in Accounts Receivable as our Accounting Clerk. Anytime a service is offered, she sends out invoices and collects payments from clients. Before coming to Negotiators, Jodie was the administrator at Sequoia Church and also worked at Fresno Pacific University. At Fresno Pacific she worked in Human Resources and worked as an Executive Assistant to one of the Deans on campus.
Dawn Souza serves as the company's Quality Assurance Manager, she is the last point of contact with our team post-installation. She guides new solar owners through the system's operations and gathers feedback based on the client's experience. Dawn Souza joins the Solar Maintenance Pros team after over twenty years at Matson Alarm Company. She brings with her, the leadership qualities she gained from years of managing their service department before switching to commercial and residential sales. Dawn serves as our Quality Assurance Manager. She was born here in Fresno, CA but was raised in Northern California and returned to the Central Valley after graduating high school.
Carrie assists our sales team with intake, pre-qualifying and scheduling new clients for solar consultations. She is part of the Inside Sales Department, the team responsible for making first contact with homeowners interested in solar. Carrie assures that all new customers are contacted promptly, and helps them schedule their initial consultation with a qualified consultant. Carrie is a native to the Central Valley. She grew up in Clovis and graduated from Fresno State University with a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations. She spent many of her professional years in community-based organizations, including a local organization that helps low-income homeowners. With two years of experience, she has increasingly saw the need for solar and understands the impact it will have on the future of our environment. Her main "why" for solar is to one day see her children grow up where the air is clean and you can see the beautiful mountains from the valley every day.
Taylor Rollins is a Customer Success Representative for Solar Negotiators and Solar Maintenance Pros. She works directly with the Solar Services Manager to process incoming calls for the service/solar maintenance side of the business. She assists current solar customers in the Solar Negotiators network and beyond to ensure their needs are met when it comes to scheduling their routine panel cleanings, signing up for our Pros Plan packages, and getting estimations for critter guard protection. Taylor is originally from Madera, CA so she is a Central Valley native. She studied psychology at Fresno Pacific University and graduated in May of 2018. She has a background in account management, sales, and advertising, so she is able to use her customer service experience to make sure our clients get the absolute best experience when they call in our office.
Kathryn "Kat" Donnell is a team member in our Customer Success Department. She serves the team in outbound sales and intake, providing customers with information on solar and getting them scheduled with our outside sales team. Kat has 20 years sales experience in marketing, advertising, and specializes in business development. She believes in under-promising, and over-delivering for clients, which makes her a perfect fit for the Solar Negotiators team.
As a Customer Success Associate Sherene is on front line of our customer service department and is always prepared to set homeowners up with their solar consultations or answer solar questions. She is a local, growing up in the foothills of Prather and currently resides in Clovis, CA raising her 4 children, one who recently entered the US Air Force.
She has been working in the sales and customer service industry since 2006. She loves and supports solar because it provides a more affordable energy option for families like herself and loves working for a local, veteran-owned company.
Scott Clark supports the Solar Negotiators team with his seasoned sales experience. His favorite aspect of working with solar is the people, helping local homeowners become energy independent and save money on their energy bills. Scott is a US Navy veteran and brings over 20 years of financial and environmental management experience to the Solar Negotiators sales team. Scott believes he has found the perfect combination of preserving our areas natural resources and the professional satisfaction of helping our clients save money.
Dewey Ramos handles all of our commercial solar sales. He has gained an extensive knowledge from training and experience working beside our owner, Chris Moran. Dewey assists local business owners, churches, and nonprofit organizations with analyzing their solar investment options. Dewey grew up in Fresno, attending Clovis West and Fresno State. He studied Sports Medicine at Fresno State and later went into the insurance and financial services industry. He spent 13 years in the insurance and financial services industry before making the transition to solar. Dewey’s knowledge in solar ranges from financial ownership to power purchase agreement’s and leasing programs. Dewey lives in Fresno with his wife and four daughters.
Chuck Rowland is one of our top sales consultants with over year experience working in the solar sales industry. He uses his years of knowledge working across different companies to help prospective buyers look at their options objectively and evaluate their needs. Chuck Rowland was born and raised here in Fresno, CA. Chuck’s long background in construction has prepared him for his new transition into the solar industry. He has been working in the field for six years, and applies all his knowledge in supporting the Solar Negotiators’ sales team. Chuck devotes much of his time to his family, as he has been married for 27 years, has 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
Daniel Gibby is qualified sales consultant with over 6 years experience in the solar industry. Daniel enjoys the aspect of helping local homeowners find affordable solutions to fit their families energy needs. Daniel was raised in Visalia, he has spent all of his life in the San Joaquin Valley. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management from the Craig School of Business at CSU Fresno. He began his career in the solar industry by facilitating solar and energy education workshops to the public. Daniel has become dedicated to helping consumers find best solution to go solar, he even installed a solar system on his home here in Fresno with one our Solar Negotiators' premier contractors.
Scott Nabors is our Commercial O&M Sales Consultant. He has over 30 years experience in sales, service and management with companies like Yosemite Waters, Sparkletts, Foster Farms and Phoenix Renewable Services (Cenergy Power). During the last 6 years, he worked in the solar business, first selling residential and small commercial systems. In more recent years, he has been working on the Commercial Operations, Maintenance and Panel Cleaning side of the business. He enjoys the opportunity to consultant companies on the proper maintenance that their solar needs to get the maximum production.
Oscar Serrano works on our team at Solar Maintenance Pros as a panel cleaning technician. He assists the maintenance division by carrying out the jobs scheduled every week. He ensures that our clients receive a quality cleaning, with before and after photos and a written report.
Julian Loza is an Installation Technician on the Solar Maintenance Pros crew. He assembles and installs solar photovoltaic systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. Julian's duties include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules.
Ramiro works as a Panel Cleaning Technician for our solar services division. He works closely with our Solar Services Manager to carry out the jobs on the schedule each week, to ensure all clients receive a professional cleaning. Ramiro works with his team to provide outstanding service to each client, after panels are washed he performs a visual inspection to ensure all components are in place.
Markell Johnson first started in construction when he was a roofer working in Las Vegas. This taught him how to withstand extreme weather conditions. Markell loves the fact that he's learned how to take initiative to make sure the company thrives. He enjoys installing on our Solar Maintenance Pros crew because he can help homeowners save money and provide a quality level installation. Markell takes pride in his work and delivering the very best service to customers.
Ruben Vega is our Warehouse Manager and brings his no-nonsense attitude from serving 5 years in the Marines to the team. He helps clients become energy efficient by organizing our company warehouse for our installation crew. Ruben brings over 5 years experience in the solar industry, working for solar giant Solar City as roof lead, and assistant crew lead. Before gaining experience in the solar industry, Ruben took a training course at Proteus. His favorite part about working at Solar Maintenance Pros is working out is challenging himself, particularly working with electrical aspect of the solar installation.
Jose Arroyo-Rosas is one of our installation leads on our Solar Maintenance Pros installation division. He ensures all safety measures are carried out during the client installation process, and that his crew finishes a top-quality installation while meeting the deadline. Jose is originally from Coalinga. He joined Navy and moved back before moving to Fresno to work in solar 5 years ago.
Austin Held is a Panel Cleaning Technician on our solar services crew. Austin was born and raised in the Central Valley. Previous to joining our cleaning crew, he spent years gaining customer service experience through bartending roles. He lived in Las Vegas and Morro bay, traveling around before settling back in Fresno and jumping into the solar industry.
Brad Flaming is our Maintenance Field Supervisor, providing oversight of all incoming repair requests and preventive maintenance jobs assigned from customers. He also ensures that all work requests are completed on schedule and updated in our system.
Javier Ramirez is an Installation Technician on our Solar Maintenance Pros install crew. He works daily with his teammates to provide a high-quality installation to our clients under the leadership of his foreman. Javier's favorite aspect is the job is helping to improve the quality of the environment through solar, and knowing what he does makes a difference.
Landin King is a Field Support Technician in the solar services division of our team. He is in charge of providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches. Landin also manages all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks -diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.
Jason Rodriquez is our Warehouse Technician, he works alongside our warehouse manager Ruben to establish and maintained stock records. Together, they keep our warehouse organized and assists in ordering and inventory of service and installation products to support continuous operations.
Cameron Voss has been with the company for three years and is one of the longest-standing employees of the service division of Solar Maintenance Pros. He was promoted up from a panel cleaning technician to installer, to his current position as a field technician. Cameron ran his own panel cleaning company before joining our crew in 2016 as one of the first technicians on staff.
Javier Pena is an installation technician on our Solar Maintenance Pros crew. He interprets the solar panel installation plans, mapping out the steps of the installation and where all of the components will be installed with his team mates. Javier was originally born in Visalia but was raised in Woodlake. Javier's favorite thing about his job is knowing that the customer is happy with the work that he does.
